Pink-Haired Lady Story!

Allow me to introduce myself as the pink-haired lady behind the vibrant and transformative events of Konnect FEST. With my love for all things pink, including my bright and vibrant hair, I bring a unique spark to the disability sector and the NDIS kommunity. With over 20 years of experience in the community and disability sector, my passion for supporting and empowering individuals has always been at the forefront of my journey.

 

Being a mother to my autistic and ADHD son has been a profound learning experience. He has taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, determination, and the beauty of embracing neurodiversity. His journey has inspired me to advocate for individuals with disabilities and create an inclusive space where everyone is valued and celebrated.

 

Last year, I received a diagnosis of ADHD myself, which has shed light on who I truly am. I embrace my neurodivergent identity with pride and enthusiasm. Being neuro-sparkly means I bring a vibrant and unique perspective to the table. My ADHD fuels my creative thinking, my ability to konnect with others, and my unwavering positivity. I believe that our differences should be celebrated, as they contribute to a rich and diverse society.

Being the facilitator of Konnect FEST and this Kommunity brings me an immense sense of fulfillment. Witnessing NDIS providers come together, konnect, and collaborate in a supportive and non-competitive environment fills my heart with happiness. Konnect FEST represents a celebration of positivity, inclusivity, and the power of human konnection. It is a space where everyone is encouraged to be their authentic selves and contribute to a vibrant kommunity that uplifts and supports one another.

For me, life is about embracing positivity, happiness, and inclusivity. It is about seeing the beauty in differences and supporting one another's growth. I believe that by cultivating a non-competitive mindset, we can create meaningful konnections and contribute to a more compassionate and understanding society.
