As most of you know, last year I was diagnosed with ADHD. While it was a great opportunity to understand more about myself, it came with highs and lows, along with overwhelming anxiety and uncertainty. This year didn’t start off the best either—at the end of last year, I lost a family member, and then had to say goodbye to my loving Mini Fox Terrier, Pegasus. I haven’t felt the same since.
Grief took over my life, and my business suffered during the first part of the year as I tried to survive. It wasn’t just me—my whole family felt it intensely. Having two neurodivergent people in our household has its challenges, and this year brought setbacks, not only in my personal life but in my business too. From bullying to people taking advantage of my kind heart, it’s been a tough journey.
But, here’s the thing: through all the anxiety and challenges, I’ve become stronger than ever. This is a glimpse into the story of a pink-haired girl who has had a hard year—but I refuse to let it define me. I’ve decided to turn each day into something new, something better.
That’s why the series of mental health-focused events I’m hosting this October are so important to me. Social media often shows just snippets of our lives, the highlights that look shiny and perfect. But we don’t know what others may be going through behind the scenes. So, before you get angry remember, we’re all human. We’re all figuring things out in our own way.
Be yourself. Love yourself. We’re in this together, and mental health matters more than ever. Come along abook your tickets to our Mental Health Coloring Book Roadshow - https://events.humanitix.com/host/pink-haired-networker
