What ADHD Combined Has Taught Me About Being Unapologetically Me
You know what I’ve learned about living with ADHD Combined?
It’s not broken. It’s brilliant — just wired a little differently. And when I stopped fighting it and started leaning into it, everything shifted.
Yes, my brain is a whirlwind. But it’s also where Konnect FEST was born.
🌪️ I think fast, connect dots others don’t see, and come up with big ideas in the middle of doing the dishes.💡 I feel energy in a room and know instantly how to lift it.🧠 I hyperfocus like a QUEEN when I’m passionate — and I’ve turned that into over 100 events a year.💖 I remember the small things about people — what they love, what they’re struggling with — because I feel deeply.
My ADHD isn’t a flaw. It’s a firework. It’s why I connect so well with others. Why I see potential in people before they see it in themselves. Why I can show up to a room and make people feel seen, even when I’m feeling scattered inside.
Yes, I have sticky notes on sticky notes. Yes, I work best in bursts. Yes, I am neuro-spicy and a little chaotic.
But I also know how to build community, tell stories, and create magic in rooms where people finally feel like they belong.
So no — ADHD doesn’t define me. But it sure as hell helps me shine.
And to every other person reading this who’s trying to figure out how to make their brain work in a world that wasn’t designed for it — keep going. There’s nothing wrong with you. Your brain is powerful, and the world needs what only you can bring.
